A sketch from Von Stutgaard's journal of the original tavern building

Eldar's first tavern was built in 1414. It's original building was designed by the architect Friedrich Von Stutgaard, and built in a communal effort from all people living in town.

The original design was a simple struscture realized out of wooden beams and mud brick walls. Shortly after finishing contruction, two new wings were added to either side of the building. Some months after that a hallawy leading to four rooms was added to the back of the build.

The tavern was destroyed in a fire in 1428. The Northern Refuge Inn was built in it's place, which opened in 1435.

There are no sketches for the future tavern's wings in Von Stutgaard's journal, as the architect was opposed to their contruction.
